Lord Shivas 5001 Bilva Patra Archana
Lord Shiva is renowned for bestowing immense blessings when worshipped with devotion. The sacred month of Shravan is specially dedicated to Lord Shiva, making it an ideal time for performing pujas and rituals. Worshipping Lord Shiva during this period is believed to bring good health, wealth, and happiness, as well as protection from negative energies and adversaries.
One of the most revered ways to honor Lord Shiva is through the Archana using Bilva leaves, which hold deep spiritual significance. The Bilva Dal, a cluster of three Bilva leaves, symbolizes Lord Shiva’s three eyes and is considered highly sacred. It is also believed that the roots of the Bilva Tree are home to all pilgrimage sites, further amplifying its sanctity in rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The Lord Shiva’s 5001 Bilva Patra Archana and Homa is conducted by three Vedic pundits and lasts for approximately 3 hours.
The puja concludes with a Homa, where offerings such as honey, ghee, sugar, sesame seeds (til), barley (jau), Ashtagandh, sandalwood powder, and Navgrah Samidha are made to the sacred fire. The ritual is completed with Lord Shiva’s Aarti and the distribution of Prasad to Brahmins. This ceremony is particularly beneficial when performed on the first Monday of Shravan or any other auspicious day during the month.
Prasadam: After the completion of the puja, the Yajmaan will receive:
- An energized Shiv Yantra
- A Rudraksha Japmala
- A recording (45–60 minutes) of the most significant parts of the puja
- Prasad from the ceremony.
